Next winter, the whole world will be focused on Canada, from television to tourism. But what do most people really know about Canada? It snows all the time. Everyone is either a lumberjack or fur trader. Right?! Not so much. There is so much more to Canada, even more than many Canadians know!

Canadians need to look sharp, so we’ve devised a way for everyone to brush up on their Canadian facts while having fun! Enter Toques & Beavers—the trivia game where you learn all kinds of Canadian factoids! Click here to learn more about the rules and how to play.

(By the way, a toque is a knit winter hat similar to a ‘beanie’. And beavers? Well, they’re just awesome animals with a long Canadian history in the French-Canadian fur trade. Together, toques & beavers encompass a tiny piece of Canadian culture!)

On top of spreading Canadiana, we felt Toques & Beavers needed a higher goal. What better goal than to help out the very people responsible for the worldwide attention? Meaning of course, Canada’s Amateur Athletes!

Athletes all around the world are working hard training for perfection this very moment. As a Canadian game, Toques & Beavers is dedicated to raising funds for our Canadian Athletes to help pay for that training, equipment, travel expenses, and anything else they need in their quest to the best they can be.

To do this, we are inviting you to make a direct donation to the Canadian Athletes Now Fund and you will receive the name of the athlete you have supported.. if your donation is over $25 you will receive a tax receipt.

Our goal right now is to raise $500,000, but with your help, we hope to beat that! Click here to get us closer to our goal by making a donation!

Toques & Beavers is a FREE online trivia game designed to teach you interesting Canadian facts and dedicated to raising money for Canada’s Amateur Athletes.

Simply sign in to start playing. You can register an account using Facebook or create a new account. These accounts are just so you can save your game for later and keep your scores in hopes of winning a monthly prize. Click here to view our privacy policy regarding your personal information.

Pick a game pawn, roll the dice, and move around the board. When you land on a spot you draw one of four cards: Toques, Beavers, Yipee, or Oops. Each card has a slightly different purpose, but the goal remains the same: Answer as many questions correctly as possible, as quickly as possible, to earn Beaver Bucks and move up levels.
